Food Service Worker - Mexico School District is accepting applications for position of Food Service Worker for the 2023-2024 school year.    

TITLE:  Food Service Worker

CATEGORY:  Food Services Personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:   

1. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
2. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
3. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds. 

REPORTS TO:   Cafeteria Manager/ Director of Food Service

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Purpose:  To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere 

of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness.

Main Job Task and Responsibilities:

1. Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares the cafeteria counter.
2. Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter.
3. Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining area.
4. Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.
5. Performs related duties as required including duties at special meal functions.
