POSITION TITLE: Substitute Delivery Driver

QUALIFICATIONS: Drivers License  

REPORTS TO: Director of Food Service

LOCATION: District Wide

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Courier is responsible for organizing and distributing mail, supplies, and materials to various schools and departments in the district. 

 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• To be available on short notice in the event of a substitute driver needed. 
• Ensures materials are delivered timely and accurately.
• Receive, track, and ensure appropriate delivery.
• Collects and deposits inter-school funds.
• Organizes and distributes all inter-school incoming mail.
• Facilitates the flow of the District’s outgoing mail, including making trips to the post office or delivery vendor, purchasing stamps and postage, and preparing packages.
• Receives, tracks, and ensures delivery of all food service trucks.
• Ensures school kitchens have supplies needed each week. 
• Performs special delivery/pick-ups as needed.
• Serves as Central Office substitute custodian when needed. 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Uphold school district policies, procedures, and the educational mission of the district.
• Participate in training activities as required by the District.
• Maintain confidentiality
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-Time

Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

Background clearance required; the results of which must be satisfactory to the District.

 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with 

provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
