POSITION TITLE: Transportation/Maintenance Secretary
REPORTS TO: Transportation Director
LOCATION: Central Office
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge with Google programs.
- Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter student bus information into Infinite Campus and maintain a ridership list for DESE headcounts.
- Answer phones, receive messages, and respond to inquiries by staff, parents, or patrons of the district.
- Assist all schools in identifying addresses and which elementary school they should be attending.
- Update bus routes.
- Maintain files and collect money for paid transportation students.
- Send out bids, collect information, and do necessary purchase orders.
- Update Bus Transportation Handbook annually.
- Prepare information for state reports & auditors.
- Send proper license documentation to the state for Bus Drivers CDL & Bus License & Bus Permits.
- Maintain individual files on each bus driver with physicals and drug testing information.
- Check Bus Drivers timeclock and in-town and out-of-town trip sheets for proper mileage and pay.
- Keep current personal vehicle transportation agreements and insurance coverage on file.
- Keep fuel records and separate special needs bus fuel and regular bus fuel.
- Collect work orders from all locations and give to the Operations Manager.
- For emergency work orders, immediately notify the Operations Manager..
- Code Maintenance Invoices with proper account numbers and enter into SISFIN.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain confidentiality
- Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.
- Attend meetings as assigned.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month; Full-Time
The Building Administrator will determine days within the school calendar year.
Background clearance required; the results of which must be satisfactory to the District.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board of policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
