POSITION TITLE: Director - Assistant Special Olympics
REPORTS TO: Director and/or Activities Director
LOCATION: Mexico Middle School or Mexico High School
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Missouri Teaching Certification - preferred
- Employment as a teacher with Mexico Public Schools - preferred
- Previous coaching experience in assigned sport - preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may deem appropriate
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excelling achievement in the event involved.
- Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season.
- Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
- Assists the director with the organization and supervision of the program.
- Complies with good safety practices.
- Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Per salary protocol
Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
Background clearance required; the results of which must be satisfactory to the District.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with
provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS REQUIRED: minimum Bachelor's Degree and Valid Missouri teaching certificate for position assigned.
